Victoria
The smallest of the mainland states – Victoria – is the second most populous in the land. More than five million people, or almost one quarter of the population, live here. Victoria offers a very diverse experience for visitors, from the busy cosmopolitan capital Melbourne to quiet places like the beaches of East Gippsland, Little Desert National Park or the Grampians, from iconic sights like the Great Ocean Road, Otway National Park or the Dandenongs to the scenic country roads in the Yarra Valley or Mildura wine regions, from the alpine playgrounds of Mount Hotham or Falls Creek to the world-renowned surf beach at Bells to Phillip Island, Mornington Peninsula or Wilsons Promontory; Victoria has got something to offer for everyone and at any time of the year.
