Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road surely is one of Australia’s most popular tourist attractions, stretching for over 300 km, from Torquay to Warrnambool, attracting 7 million visitors per year. Particularly popular are the 12 Apostles, sitting in the Southern Ocean beyond 70 m high limestone cliffs. Great Ocean Road offers stunning ocean views, beachside activities, laidback coastal towns and maritime villages. Torquay is a popular surfing spot and the road leads past a collection of surfing and swimming beaches. Between Anglesea, Lorne and Apollo Bay the road features the beautiful contrast of the ocean beaches on one side and the forests and mountains of the Otway Ranges on the other. The Otway Ranges offers lush green scenery, beautiful hills, waterfalls, excellent walking tracks, camping and picnic spots.
