Freycinet National Park

Located on the eastern coast of Tasmania, Freycinet National Park is one of the islands most picturesque regions, located just 2 ½ hrs. drive from either Launceston or Hobart. Freycinet National Park offers a wide variety of activities. Take a walk to the pass overlooking the perfectly shaped Wineglass Bay (once named Australia’s best beach and rated amongst the top 5 beaches in the world) or try less tiring activities like beach strolls, swimming or wildlife spotting. There are a number of short or long walking tracks; the most popular being the three hour return to the stunning Wineglass Bay. Ranger-guided walks can be arranged from the National Park Visitor and Interpretation center. A range of accommodation is also available in the region; the beautiful Freycinet Lodge for instance is approximately 28 km off the main coastal highway, just inside the National Park. A pass is required to enter the Park, this can be obtained from the Visitor Centre. This pass is required to gain access to your accommodation at Freycinet Lodge or campground also.
