Pemberton

The charming and picturesque township of Pemberton is surrounded by old-growth forest and is situated amidst  majestic Karri forests in the south west region of Western Australia. It is a good base from which to discover the many natural assets this region has to offer: tranquil streams and waterways that brim over with freshwater trout, forests, scenic drives and with a little bit of adventure involved, there is a coastal experience to be had in the nearby D’Entrecasteaux National Park, too! No visit to Pemberton is complete without experiencing first-hand the five world-class national parks, peaceful waterways, award-winning wineries, restaurants, fresh local produce and more. One of the best known tourist attractions would be the famous Gloucester Tree, a fire lookout high up and in the crown of a giant Karri Tree in the Gloucester National Park of Western Australia. At 61 m in height, it is the world's tallest fire-lookout tree. Visitors to the area can climb up to a platform in its upper branches for a spectacular view of the surrounding forest.
