Territory Wildlife Park is only 40 km from
Darwin and provides visitors with an essential introduction to flora and fauna of the monsoonal
Top End. The park includes 400 ha of lush natural bushland which is divided into a range of habitats: Monsoon forest, woodland and wetlands representing the vast floodplains in of Kakadu. It was established in 1992 and is operated by the
Northern Territory’s Department of Parks and Wildlife. Visitors can bush walk through the park along six kilometres of
easy walking trails or enjoy a ride on the free open-air shuttle trains and listen to informative commentaries about local flora and fauna. There is also an impressive
aquarium, a nocturnal house and a regular birds of prey display.
