The Pilbara
Located about 1300 km north of Perth the Pilbara stretches over 500.000 square km of land and includes 3 world class National Parks. The Pilbara is famous for its unspoilt beaches, many Aboriginal rock art and for the most beautiful camping spots. You can go camping under the stars in Karijini National Park, take a 4WD into Rudall River National Park and visit the open cut iron ore mine or go to Millstream-Chichester National Park to admire the aboriginal rock art. The Pilbara is a region with many natural resources; that is why you will find many mining companies looking for either iron or natural gas. Some major towns in the region are Karratha, Port Hedland, Dampier, Tom Price and Newman. Whatever you do in the Pilbara, you will not be disappointed and you will leave with amazing memories and photographs.
