This relatively new attraction has fast become a “must do” item for any visitor to
Alice Springs; in the space of a couple of hours, guests learn about some of the many fascinating stories of the
Central Australian deserts. Countless examples of the local flora and fauna found across the arid centre can be seen, touched and smelt. There is even a nocturnal enclosure, where visitors can learn about animals that hunt and thrive in the dark of night. Birds of prey shows are on offer, as are regular screenings of the interesting “The Changing Heart” film documentary which explains in 20 minutes how the land evolved and was shaped over a period of more than four billion years. The park is situated on
Larapinta Drive on the Western outskirts of Alice Springs.
