Port Lincoln
Port Lincoln is the hub of Australia's seafood industry, and one company is giving visitors the chance to swim with these metre-long fish of the sea. Swimming with tuna might lack the 'cuddle' factor of dolphins or sealions, or the fear factor of the shark cage, but it's still an adrenaline-pumping experience. After being given a brief history of the tuna industry, boatloads of visitors are taken out to see the tuna in their natural environment in the refreshing waters of the Southern Ocean. Once there, adventurous guests can feed the tuna by hand with scraps of pilchard, or put on a snorkel and mask and jump in to interact with the hundreds of fast swimming and swerving tuna and other fish.
