Penguins of Phillip Island
The “Penguin Parade” is located on Phillip Island, 140 km south-east of Melbourne. The Phillip Island Nature Park is a reserve designed to protect and promote awareness of Little Penguins (previously called Fairy Penguins). The Phillip Island penguin parade occurs at dusk when the tiny penguins return to shore after a busy day fishing in the wild waters of the Southern Ocean and Bass Strait. The world famous Penguin Parade is Australia’s popular wildlife attraction and winner of the Victorian Tourism Awards for Ecotourism. View the Penguins from a range of viewing platforms. There are also numerous other sites to discover on Philip Island such as seeing koalas in their natural habitat at the Koala Conservation Centre. Step back in time to visit Churchill Island heritage farm and the new Marine attraction at the Nobbies Centre.
