Hibiscus Coast
This beautiful stretch of coast is just a 10 minute drive from Auckland’s North Shore. It is part of the Hauraki Gulf, one of the countless waterways New Zealand’s largest city has on its doorstep. The Hibiscus Coast is officially part of the Auckland metropolitan area and runs north from the Whangaparaoa Peninsula towards Kawau Island. The main town in the area is Orewa, which has a population of 6,000. It is also a popular holiday and weekend spot for Aucklanders and it is considered to be one of the fastest growing towns in the country.
