Monkey Mia

In the centre of Western Australia, on the coast of Shark Bay, is a unique place where you can have an encounter with one of nature’s smartest animals: Bottlenose dolphins. Monkey Mia is one of the world’s premier wild dolphin sighting areas. Located at Dolphin Beach, Monkey Mia has attracted schools of dolphins to its shores on a daily bases for over 40 years. This interaction with the dolphins is one of the most reliable dolphin encounters that can be experienced anywhere in the world. The dolphins have come to visit the shores everyday except on four days during the past five years. It is the only place in Australia where you can see dolphins daily at no cost [except National Park entry fees]. But there is more to Monkey Mia than just dolphins, even tough they surely are the main attraction; You can go cruising, sailing, snorkelling or 4WD’ing.
